I have been a director of Chorley FC Supporters Trust since January 2019. I currently work as an apprentice engineer with North West Projects on Buckshaw. I’ve also been a steward at Chorley Football Club since October 2016 and have since had a thorough interest in the club and what goes on behind the scenes.
I have put forward many ideas towards the Supporters Trust. Last December I put out a Facebook post asking for ideas that fans wanted, and since then a lot of the ideas in that document have been put into action. I suppose I am one of the younger and upcoming generation of Chorley FC fans. As mentioned, becoming an engineer as my first full-time career can hopefully be used in the near future at Chorley Football Club as we look to develop what is an old stadium. The reason I wanted to join the Supporters Trust was to get more involved with behind the scenes work at Chorley Football Club and from a fan point of view put into action as many ideas as possible. I also use the Trust to help me with my curriculum vitae as a way of showing leadership qualities going forward.
It’s difficult to say which is the best game I’ve seen in the time I’ve been here; I really did enjoy that away victory to Salford City though: two completely different set-ups but we showed what a true old-fashioned non-league club was all about on the day and of course I also have to mention the play-off final against Spennymoor Town.
