Changes on the Trust board
Two Trust members have recently been coopted onto the CFCST board, whilst Lawson Dauer has stood down for personal reasons. We want to thank Lawson for his hard work on behalf of the Trust, he’ll be missed.
We’ll let the new members introduce themselves, starting with Alison Butcher.
As someone who grew up in a footballing family, it feels like football is in my DNA. Having had an uncle play for Blackburn (whom I also support) and from the swings in the local park watching another uncle play for Kirkham and Wesham when they were still a Sunday league side. So getting the chance to be this involved with the club is something I am very passionate about.
Before becoming disabled, I trained as both a legal secretary and an accountant but never got chance to use those skills. So just less than 2 years ago I moved to Chorley and have been to just about every match I can. Although I have not been involved with the club for long, I am looking forward to in the future getting back through the gates to cheer the lads on and helping out in anyway I can.
Here’s Jue Vass in his own words:
I was born in Chorley but spent most of my youth away from the area. The first season that I really remember at Victory Park was 2002/03 when we narrowly lost out on promotion at the hands of Radcliffe Borough. Prior to this, my days at the ground were spent playing football on the grass banking!
Throughout my years connected with the club I have held various voluntary roles ranging from assisting with the club shop in my early teens to most recently being the match day stadium announcer until December 2019.
Away from football I am blessed to have 2 beautiful children and a very supporting (and understanding when football is concerned) wife. I work as an IT Technician across a Multi-Academy Trust, a position I’ve aimed to achieve since school. That screams ambitious, determined and the never die attitude that I believe I have. I also run an IT support business offering graphic support and website services in my spare time.
I have previously held the position of vice-chair and membership secretary of the Trust but took a break due to starting a family. I believe that now is the right time to rejoin the board and help continue the fantastic work that the current board members have started. My first job, make sure you’ve signed up!
