Pledges for youth development update after Nuneaton
We’re back to winning ways with a clean sheet, and that’s good news for youth development. Our 1-0 win over Nuneaton generated £61.50 for the junior setup at Chorley FC, bringing the total raised so far to a very impressive £1149.50.
Clean sheets now bring in £29 each, and Saturday saw our twelfth shutout of the campaign so far, a remarkable record. And they have come in groups of two or more often three this season too, so here’s hoping for another against Squires Gate.
You might have seen a cheque for £500 presented at Saturday’s match. That marked the second instalment of cash handed over the the club as a result of this pledges scheme. With any luck we will be able to make a third payment this side of Christmas, provided we can raise £350.50 from the matches between now and then.
If you want to help us on the way, just pick a pledge and tweet it to @cfcst, email it to firstname.lastname@example.org or stop by the Trust table outside the Social Club before any match.
As ever, there’s a spreadsheet with chapter and verse on everyone’s pledges for all matches this season.
