Latest NewsOn Saturday prior to the Harrogate Town game at Victory Park we held our first of three food bank collections for Living Waters Storehouse in Chorley.

The collection was a huge success as supporters from both sides brought along tins, side effects pasta and cereal amongst other items that will be welcomed by the food bank.

A special mention must go to the travelling supporters who chipped in well over half of the collection.

Andy Harrison who is the Harrogate Town Supporters Club Chairman said “It was great to be part of such a great cause. Things like this are what make non-league football so fantastic. We can always put rivalries to one side to help those less fortunate. I would like to wish you the best for future collections and look forward to welcoming you all to Harrogate later in the season.”

Harrogate Town Supporters Club member and away travel organiser Jordan Ford joked “I hope we managed to persuade some Lancastrians that us Yorkshire folk are not always tight.” He also added “There are some brilliant people involved with Chorley FC, and I have made a number of good friends during our visits, and it was a pleasure to be involved. All the best and see you in March.”
