Youth development to benefit from first £500
The first team’s impressive start to the season has paid an early dividend for youth development at Chorley. After just ten matches – less than a quarter of the season – our pledges scheme has already raised over £500. And with £300 of that already collected in, more about we’re up and running. Saturday’s game against Brackley saw two new pledgers put their names down at the Trust table: Paul Morris and Joe Derbyshire going for £1 per goal and £2 per clean sheet respectively. We now have over thirty fans pledging each week, web and we’re very grateful for your generosity, but not as grateful as the club’s development squad who are the direct beneficiaries of every penny pledged.
The top pledger at the Brackley game was again Chris Foley with his £10 for no bookings coming in for the second time this week. In total the 1-1 draw brought in £34.50. with £1 per goal the single most valuable pledge at £10.50. You can read full details of everyone’s pledges for each match on this up to date spreadsheet: pledges after Brackley Town home match
If you want to pledge to help us meet our target of £3000 for youth development, you can pick up a form at the Trust table outside the Social Club at any home match, tweet your pledge to @cfcst or join at our next meeting, which will be Wednesday October 2 at 8pm in the Social Club.
