Trust & Twincess team to cycle to FCUM
To mark World Down Syndrome Day 2016 Chorley FC Supporters Trust & the Twincess Charity will be joining forces to cycle to Broadhurst Park, generic Manchester on 26th March 2016 for the National League North match between FC United of Manchester and Chorley FC. The team of cyclists will be wearing a special team cycling shirt in Twincess pink. The team will include Matt Parry, dad of Twincess girls Abigail & Isobel, Trust chairman Ryan Modlin and Trust Board member Mark Rees, but we’d love to have a huge peleton making the trip, so if you want to join Team Trust Twincess send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Whilst the route is expected to be approximately 30 miles it will be kept as flat as possible and we will ride as fast as the slowest rider (probably Ryan).
Over recent years both Chorley Football Club and Chorley Supporters Trust have forged strong ties with the local Twincess Charity. Twincess was set up by Jodi & Matt Parry following the birth of their beautiful daughters Abigail & Isobel who were born with Down Syndrome in 2011. Jodi & Matt say: “Our long-term goal is to change society’s misconceptions and help people see the ‘Ups and not the Down’s’ of the condition.”
World Down Syndrome Day takes place on 21st March 2016. The date for WDSD being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.
We have a single page where you can sponsor the whole team for the ride to FC United which you can find here.
If you’d like to join Team Trust Twincess for this ride, whatever your level of fitness, contact Trust chair Ryan Modlin for details email@example.com
