Fan Ownership Fund hits £8000

At the Supporters Trust AGM in June the membership resolved to start a fund to equip the Trust to be in a financial position to acquire shares in Chorley Football Club Limited as and when they should become available. In August 2015 we launched the Fan Ownership Fund with the aim of raising £10, page 000 during the course of the 2015/16 football season.

We’re pleased to announce that following the recent success of the Children’s Christmas Party and the Christmas Quiz the Fan Ownership Fund has already hit the £8,000 mark.

Trust Chairman Ryan Modlin said: “The Fan Ownership Fund really speaks of what the Supporters Trust movement is all about; fans taking ownership of their football club. It’s been great to see so many people engage with the concept of fan ownership and the Supporters Trust in general. This has gone beyond regular visitors to Victory Park to people in the wider community such as local businesses and residents who have all shown support in one form or another.”

With further events already planned such as a sponsored walk to AFC Fylde on 2nd January, a race night on 4th March and a sponsored bike ride to FC United of Manchester on 26th March there is ample opportunity to smash the 2015/16 target of £10,000.

If you wish to contribute to the Fan Ownership Fund you can do so at If you are a UK Taxpayer your donation will be boosted by 20% if you select the “Gift Aid” option. You can also use our Local Giving page to sponsor our Treasurer & Membership Secretary, John Paul & Julian, who will be walking to the match at AFC Fylde on 2nd January.
