Trust Launch “Pledge for Magpies”
As things stand, approved the Trust has three main sources of income. 50/50 commission, golden goal and membership subscriptions. In a bid to extend that list and hopefully add to the bank Chorley Supporters Trust are launching their “Pledge for Magpies” scheme for the second half of the 2014/2015 campaign in the Vanarama Conference North.
As supporters we are always keen to dig deep for our beloved Magpies so we thought we would make it interesting and launch a pledge scheme. Perhaps you think we will go a month without a yellow card, put your money where your mouth, reckon we will score 50 goals this season? It’d be great if those goals equaled pounds for the Trust.
The supporter behind the scheme is membership secretary Julian;
“I found this idea on another fans forum and after speaking with them about the
idea and how well it has done I thought why not bring it to Chorley. If we can get at least 30 supporters to pledge then it could be a real money earner. I myself will kick things off and pledge £25 if Chorley win the league, £10 if we go up via play-offs and also £1 for every clean sheet. Hopefully people jump on this idea. It’s a little bit of fun and at the same time you’re giving money to something you care about. We also have Trust treasurer JP joining in with the scheme already, pledging £1 for every goal we score.”
The scheme will officially start on 2nd December 2014 when we face Leamington at Victory Park so all pledges placed will be in effect from then until the last Chorley game of the season. If you would like your pledge to be backtracked to the beginning of the season then please inform us. All those who pledge will have their name on our website with their pledges visible. There will also be a counter on the page to see how much the scheme has raised.
If you own a company and wish to get involved with Chorley Supporters Trust in a more smaller manner then this is the ideal opportunity for you to gain some advertisement whilst supporting the Trust.
To add your pledge then speak to Julian, send us a Tweet or post on MagpiesInSpace.
