On Your Bike… Part 2!
Chorley Supporters’ Trust member Mark Rees gave a boost to the fundraising for the new disabled ramp through a sponsored cycle ride. Mark rode the route of the first stage of this year’s Tour de France on Saturday May 10th, dosage covering over 120 miles. The route from Leeds to Harrogate runs through the Yorkshire Dales, buy more about and there were some steep hills, rain and wind to contend with. Mark said:
“It was very hard work! I was happy enough to complete the course in just over ten hours. Bradley Wiggins will do it twice as fast at least this summer. The best thing though was that the Disabled Ramp fund is £368.05 better off thanks to the generous donations from friends, colleagues and family. The Trust is committed to opening up the football club to all sections of the community in Chorley, and providing disabled access to the club is a big step forward. I’d like to thank everyone who encouraged me by donating to the appeal.”
The appeal is still open and you can donate by using the PayPal link on the right of this page.
