Over the course of a season we like to do our bit for the local community and in this case it comes in the form of a food bank collection.
There are roughly 13 million people living in the UK that are below the poverty line. This includes 3 million children. Many struggle to put food on the table, thousands simply go without.
The food bank collections at the football club take place around 3-4 times a year, mainly at Easter and Christmas when the stock levels are low and hampers are being delivered to those most vulnerable within the Chorley borough.
We have been proud supporters of the Living Waters Storehouse for a number of years and we will continue to organise these foodbanks throughout the football calendar.
For more information on Living Waters then please visit their website and keep an eye on the latest news for when the next collection is taking place.
