Pledges for youth development into four figures
Our pledge scheme to benefit youth development at Chorley FC has raised a total of £1122 at the end of November. With five months of the season remaining, hopes are high that we can more than double that total.
A couple of participants pledge cash whenever a development squad player turns out for the first team. In November we saw three products of the development squad play against Colne in the Lancashire Cup. Perhaps more surprisingly, Jordan Darr was introduced from the bench against Fleetwood, which netted a handsome £46. Hopefully a couple more youth players will feature in the next round of the Lancashire Cup against Bamber Bridge.
It has been some time since we recorded a clean sheet, the last one coming against FC United in late October. Fortunately the goals have been flying in at the other end, making £1 per goal a very profitable pledge.
If you want to join the pledge scheme, it’s easy. You can email your pledge to firstname.lastname@example.org, tweet it to @cfcst, sign up at the Trust table outside the Social Club at any home match, or come to our meeting on December 6th at 7:30. If you do, why not hang around for the quiz afterwards at 8?
You can pay your pledges at a match or meeting, or via our localgiving page at https://localgiving.org/charity/cfcst/
